AbstractThis scrapbook includes many photographs of Count Basie and the Count Basie Orchestra, other musicians, and a few of Basie family members; clippings related to Count Basie and his performances; and photographs, correspondence, and ephemera related to Catherine Basie and her charitable work.
Note(s)The Institute of Jazz Studies at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, received a project support grant from the New Jersey Historical Commission, a division of the Department of State, to process the Count Basie family papers.
