NOTE: There are “skips-and-repeats” at the end of “The Flat Foot Floogie” and during the closing announcements (the latter does not affect any music). Both faults can be eliminated by careful editing and splicing, if it becomes necessary to make a master tape for further reproduction. Both also contribute to the excessive length of this transfer (beyond 30 minutes). The two source acetates are spliced during “Says My Heart,” resulting in a noticeable “blip” in the transfer. Again, careful editing could minimize this flaw.
NOTE: A 90-second interval of blank tape precedes the next transfer, to accommodate the possible future acquisition of the introductory announcement and the opening theme, both missing from the cassette supplied by Reynolds.

in his absence, guest conductors Guy Lombardo and Ben Bernie nominally lead the band.
In actuality, Harry James was the interim leader.
NOTE: Raynolds does not have the “Camel Caravan” broadcast of 19 July 1938. Six of the tunes performed on that program are available via privately-recorded acetates, however. They are transferred on a general “Year 1938” reel, as part of the regular Benny Goodman Aircheck tape transfer series.
