NOTE: A 90-second blank tape precedes “Sugar Foot Stomp.” above, to provide for the possible later accession and inclusion of the introductions and opening theme missing from the cassette sent by R. J. Reynolds.
As of June 1985, only the first disc of two for this broadcast has been discovered. If the second half of the program is ever located, it will necessitate a re-recording of the entire program. A 60-second interval precedes the next transfer - reduced for service copies.
NOTE: The next transfer is of the first half of a rehearsal for the “Camel Caravan” broadcast of 22 July 1939. Ambient sound suggests the rehearsal took place sans audience, and possibly in a studio, not the outdoor bandstand of the Golden Gate Exposition, where the band was appealing at that time.
