AbstractThis scrapbook includes ephemera and photographs of the Basie family, Count Basie Orchestra, and other performers. Some photos are inscribed to Count and Catherine Basie.
Note(s)The Institute of Jazz Studies at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, received a project support grant from the New Jersey Historical Commission, a division of the Department of State, to process the Count Basie family papers. Conservation and preservation of the Count Basie family papers and artifacts was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, National Park Service, National Endowment for the Arts, and National Endowment for the Humanities.
