AbstractThis file includes loose scrapbook pages collated with unrelated materials when the Institute of Jazz Studies acquired the Count Basie family papers and artifacts. Pages include clippings, greeting cards, photographs, ephemera, correspondence, and contracts. Of particular note are a comic book featuring Count Basie, contracts and telegrams for Catherine Basie when she performed as Princess Aloha, and set lists from 1946 broadcasts of the Count Basie Orchestra.
